Kinetics Model SH Vibration Isolation Hangers are designed to reduce the transmission of vibration and noise produced by suspended mechanical equipment and piping systems. Each SH Spring Hanger incorporates a high-deflection, color-coded steel spring element, a No-Short spring cap, and a noise isolation pad assembled within a stamped or welded hanger bracket.
The SH Spring Hanger is suitable for applications where the minimum static deflection requirement exceeds 0.4″ / 10 mm. The freestanding steel spring is designed with a minimum lateral stiffness of 1.0 times the rated vertical stiffness, helping maintain stable performance in suspended HVAC and MEP installations. SH hangers also allow support rod misalignment through a 30° arc without metal-to-metal contact or vibration short-circuiting.
Model SH Spring Hangers are recommended for suspended mechanical equipment, in-line fans, exhaust fans, cabinet fans, ductwork, and piping located near vibration-sensitive or noise-critical areas. The 1″ and 2″ SH hanger models feature Kinetics’ patented No-Short self-centering spring cap, which helps keep the rod and washer centered to reduce the risk of short-circuiting during installation and operation.
