Acoustic Louvers

Kinetics Fixed Blade Acoustic Louvers are economical, effective, and attractive solution for maximum sound reduction when space is limited. Used as part of the intake and exhaust air systems of buildings, structures, or equipment, Acoustic louvers reduce noise produced by the system’s equipment. Acoustic Louvers have a relatively large surface area which compensates for their lack of depth. Models are available in varying depths, material types, percent open area, and blade configurations yielding various pressure loss and noise reduction performance.

Product Description

KINETICS ACOUSTIC LOUVER TYPES: KCDC, KCAC, KCPL, KCAL, KCFL

Kinetics Fixed Blade Acoustic Louvers are economical, effective, and attractive solution for maximum sound reduction when space is limited. Used as part of the intake and exhaust air systems of buildings, structures, or equipment, Acoustic louvers reduce noise produced by the system’s equipment. Acoustic Louvers have a relatively large surface area which compensates for their lack of depth. Models are available in varying depths, material types, percent open area, and blade configurations yielding various pressure loss and noise reduction performance.

KCDC | Engineered for Data Centers

Engineered specifically for the demands of data centers, type KCDC is the newest acoustic louver offered by Kinetics Noise Control. Designed to deliver performance and practicality, KCDC achieves 50% open area while maintaining no sight line and low pressure drop. Its chevron blade design enhances visual screening and privacy while supporting the airflow requirements commonly specified for data center applications. KCDC is a highly competitive solution for projects where both acoustic performance and operational efficiency are critical.

Acoustic Louver Types

Acoustic Louvers are used as part of the intake/exhaust air system of buildings, structures, or equipment to help reduce noise produced by the system equipment. They have a relatively large surface area which compensates for their lack of depth. Models are available in varying depths, percent open area and blade configurations yielding various pressure loss and noise reduction performance.

Mechanism of Performance

  • The blades are angled to prevent direct line of sight
  • The top of each horizontal blade is solid. The underside of each blade is perforated
  • Blades are filled with acoustic media to absorb sound energy
  • Relatively large absorptive surface area which compensates for lack of depth

Accessories

  • Flanges
  • Bird Screen
  • Powder-Coat Finish
  • Structural Design Services for Large Louver Banks and Walls

Options

Kinetics Acoustic Louvers are available in galvanized (type G90), aluminum, stainless steel 304 and 316. Powder coat and baked-enamel finishes also available with galvanneal.

Application

  • Data Centers
  • Building Ventilation
  • Generator Room Intake and Discharge Vents
  • Incorporated into an Acoustic Barrier Wall System – Cross Ventilation
  • Acoustical Enclosure Ventilation
  • Air-Cooled Chiller Enclosure System
  • Pump Room Ventilation
