KINETICS® Alto brings acoustic absorption into a refined grooved wood finish, creating elegant wall and ceiling treatments for auditoriums, conference rooms, atriums, courthouses, student centers, and premium interior projects across the UAE, GCC, Middle East, and MENA region.
Kinetics Noise Control Inc. Products
KINETICS® Alto is part of the Kinetics Acoustical Wood Collection, designed to combine the warmth of wood with effective room acoustic control. Its grooved surface creates a clean architectural appearance while allowing sound energy to pass through small openings beneath the grooves and be absorbed by concealed acoustical materials. This makes Alto suitable for spaces where consultants, architects, and contractors require both visual refinement and acoustic performance.
Grooved Acoustic Wood Design
Alto consists of a perforated core with wood veneer or laminate applied to the surface. Groove patterns are machined into the face to expose the core perforations, creating acoustic transparency while maintaining the look of a continuous wood finish. The system is available with two standard groove spacings, 8 mm or 16 mm on center, allowing the design team to select the required visual rhythm and acoustic finish.
Wall and Ceiling Configuration Options
KINETICS® Alto can be used on walls or ceilings and is available as field-assembled planks, field-assembled panels, or pre-fabricated Ensemble panels. Alto tongue-and-groove planks create a hardwood floor-like appearance and can be field cut and nailed around doors, windows, and architectural details. Alto panels can be custom sized and hung on Z-clips, while Ensemble panels arrive as ready-to-hang acoustic wood panels complete with fiberglass and frame.
Sizes, Finishes, and Project Coordination
Field-assembled Alto planks are 7-9/16″ wide and are typically supplied in 8′ to 10′ lengths. Field-assembled panels are available up to 4′ wide x 8′ long. Pre-fabricated Ensemble panels are available up to 4′ wide and 8′ long, not exceeding 20 sq. ft. per panel. Alto offers many options for wood species, laminates, matching, cuts, finishes, and edge details, with fire-rated or non-fire-rated core options and FSC® Certification available upon request.
Acoustic Performance for Interior Spaces
With NRC ratings from 0.70 to 0.90, KINETICS® Alto supports reverberation control and acoustic comfort in busy interior environments. It is a strong choice for commercial, educational, civic, hospitality, and cultural projects where wood aesthetics and sound absorption must work together as part of the overall architectural acoustic design.
