FDS-2″ & 4″ Free Standing Spring Isolators

Kinetics Model FDS Spring Vibration Isolators consist of high deflection, free-standing, unhoused, large diameter, laterally stable steel springs assembled into an upper load plate and leveling assembly. To assure stability, the spring isolators have lateral spring stiffness greater than 1.0 times the rated vertical stiffness and are designed to provide a minimum of 50% overload capacity.

Product Description

Kinetics Model FDS-2″ & 4″ Free Standing Spring Isolators are high-deflection spring vibration isolators used to control structure-borne noise and vibration from floor-mounted mechanical equipment. The isolators consist of large-diameter, laterally stable steel springs assembled into an upper load plate and levelling assembly, helping provide reliable equipment support and vibration isolation performance.

These free-standing spring isolators are designed for low-speed mechanical equipment that can transmit high and low frequency vibration into the building structure. Typical equipment includes reciprocating air and refrigeration compressors, close-coupled and base-mounted pumps, packaged air handling units, refrigeration equipment, centrifugal fans, axial fans, internal combustion engines, and similar rotating or reciprocating machinery.

FDS spring isolators are suitable for use near critically quiet areas where mechanical vibration and noise transmission must be controlled. The 2″ and 4″ deflection options are especially useful for projects requiring higher operating static deflection, including long-span floor structures and vibration-sensitive building applications.

For consultants, MEP contractors, acoustic specialists, and project developers across the UAE, GCC, Middle East, and MENA region, FDS-2″ & 4″ Free Standing Spring Isolators provide a dependable solution for mechanical rooms, plant rooms, commercial buildings, hospitals, hotels, schools, data centers, industrial facilities, and infrastructure projects. The isolators are intended for floor-mounted equipment not subject to lateral forces such as wind.
