Product Description

Kinetics FDS-2B Welded Spring Isolators are high-deflection, free-standing, unhoused steel spring isolators engineered for effective vibration control of floor-mounted mechanical and HVAC equipment. The isolators use large-diameter, laterally stable steel springs assembled with upper and lower load plate assemblies to support equipment loads while reducing the transfer of vibration into the building structure.

Designed for mechanical rooms, chiller plants, HVAC systems, industrial facilities, commercial buildings, hospitals, hotels, schools, and other noise-sensitive environments, FDS-2B spring isolators are suitable for equipment such as pumps, compressors, air handling units, refrigeration equipment, centrifugal fans, axial fans, and internal combustion engines.

For heavier load capacities, the springs are welded to the load plate assemblies and supplied with a neoprene noise isolation pad to support vibration isolation and reduce structure-borne noise. The isolators include provisions for bolting to the supporting structure, making them suitable for coordinated MEP installation in demanding construction projects across the UAE, GCC, Middle East, and wider MENA region.

Application

  • Vibration isolation for floor-mounted mechanical equipment
  • Pumps, compressors, and refrigeration equipment
  • Packaged air handling units and air conditioning equipment
  • Centrifugal and axial fans in HVAC systems
  • Mechanical rooms, chiller plants, and plantroom installations
  • Commercial buildings, hospitals, hotels, schools, and industrial facilities
  • Noise and vibration control near critically quiet areas
  • MEP equipment support where lateral forces such as wind are not present
