KINETICS® FLS Restrained Spring Isolators provide vertical restraint and high-performance vibration isolation for HVAC and mechanical equipment exposed to load changes, moderate external forces, or wind loads. They suit chillers, cooling towers, condensers, boilers, and MEP equipment in UAE, GCC, Middle East, and MENA building projects.
Kinetics Noise Control Inc. Products
KINETICS® FLS Restrained Spring Isolators are vertically restrained spring isolation mounts designed for mechanical equipment that requires both vibration isolation and controlled vertical movement. They help reduce noise and vibration from equipment located near critically quiet areas. In addition, they support applications where equipment weight may change during maintenance or where moderate external forces and wind loads may occur.
Reliable Vibration Isolation for Mechanical Equipment
The FLS isolator uses free-standing, large-diameter, laterally stable steel springs assembled into welded steel housing assemblies. These housings limit vertical movement when equipment loads reduce or when large vertical external forces act on the equipment. As a result, the isolator helps maintain stable mechanical performance during operation, maintenance, and load variation.
Designed for HVAC, MEP, and Building Services Projects
Kinetics Model FLS spring isolators are suitable for vibration-producing equipment with large fluid loads that may be drained. Typical examples include boilers, cooling towers, chillers, air-cooled condensers, and similar outdoor mechanical components where wind loads are minimal. They are also useful in commercial buildings, hospitals, hotels, schools, data centers, mechanical rooms, chiller plants, and industrial facilities across the UAE, GCC, Middle East, and MENA region.
Engineered Construction and Installation Support
Each FLS isolator includes steel spring elements with internal noise isolation pads. The top load plate assembly includes an adjusting and leveling bolt for alignment on site. The housing provides a constant free and operating height, which supports easier installation and MEP coordination. Holes are provided for bolting the isolator to the structure and to the supported equipment. The isolator can also be welded to the structure when required by the project design.
Performance-Focused Spring Design
Operating static deflections are available up to 4″ / 102 mm. This helps compensate for long-span flexible floor structures while maintaining a high level of noise and vibration isolation. Standard FLS spring isolators are available with load capacities up to 23,200 lbs / 10,524 kg. Custom isolators with higher deflection and greater load capabilities are also available.
Durable Finish and Specification Support
The spring elements are polyester powder coated and carry a 1000-hour salt spray rating when tested in accordance with ASTM B-117. Housing assemblies may be electrozinc plated or hot dip galvanized for corrosion resistance. To support stability, the springs have lateral stiffness greater than 1.2 times the rated vertical stiffness. They also provide a minimum 50% overload capacity.
