KSCH Low Profile Deck-Suspended Ceiling Hanger

KSCH is a super-compact, low-profile deck-suspended ceiling hanger for isolated ceiling construction where ceiling height is limited. Designed for acoustic ceiling isolation, noise control, and vibration mitigation, KSCH is ideal for offices, penthouses, residences, hotels, and MEP spaces across the UAE, GCC, Middle East, and MENA region.

Product Description

KSCH by Kinetics is a low-profile spring ceiling hanger designed to create isolated gypsum board ceiling systems without losing significant room height. It is suitable for projects where architects, acoustic consultants, contractors, and MEP engineers need a resilient ceiling isolation solution in height-restricted areas such as C-suite offices, occupied spaces, retrofit projects, and rooms below mechanical equipment penthouses. Kinetics describes KSCH as a super-compact hanger that supports isolated ceiling construction while minimizing ceiling drop; the product is covered by Patent No. 7,028,432 B2.

Low-Profile Acoustic Ceiling Isolation
The KSCH Super-Compact Ceiling Hanger helps resiliently decouple the ceiling using less than 3-1/2 inches of space. It is designed for use with a single 1-1/2″ x 1/2″ cold-rolled channel supporting drywall furring channel, to which one or more layers of gypsum board are attached. This makes KSCH especially useful for new-build and renovation projects where floor-to-ceiling height must be preserved.

System Performance and Coordination
KSCH supports ceiling assemblies using cold-rolled channel, drywall furring channel, fiberglass insulation, gypsum board, resilient perimeter interface, and acoustic sealant where specified. Kinetics test data lists KSCH ceiling assemblies with acoustic ratings including STC 69 / IIC 54, STC 69 / IIC 62, STC 80 / IIC 64, and STC 81 / IIC 60 depending on the full tested construction, slab, airspace, insulation, and ceiling configuration.

Installation and Design Flexibility
KSCH installation includes marking hanger locations, applying Ceiling Perimeter Tape at perimeters and penetrations, sliding KSCH hangers onto cold-rolled channel, attaching hangers to the deck, installing drywall furring channel, fixing gypsum board, and applying acoustic sealant where required by the project specification. Kinetics also notes that KSCH can be adapted for lower ceiling elevations, soffits, tray ceilings, indirect lighting, ductwork coordination, and integration with traditional one-inch spring deflection hangers such as ICC or Gotham.
