Product Description

Low-Cost, Space-Saving Acoustic Isolation Clip
KINETICS® IsoMax™ Sound Isolation Wall and Ceiling Clip is designed for walls and ceilings where superior noise control is required without using excessive construction space. The clip supports standard drywall furring channel and helps create isolated wall and ceiling assemblies that reduce direct sound transmission through framing members. Kinetics describes IsoMax as a low-cost, space-saving solution for high-performance acoustic walls and ceilings.

Improved Performance Compared with Resilient Channel
IsoMax™ is engineered to provide significantly higher STC performance than drywall attached directly to resilient channel. A key advantage is that the clip helps prevent installers from accidentally short-circuiting the resilient system by screwing through the resilient channel into the joist or stud, a common installation issue that can reduce acoustic performance.

Wall and Ceiling Noise Control for Professional Building Projects
For acoustic consultants, architects, contractors, developers, and MEP teams, IsoMax™ provides a practical wall and ceiling sound isolation solution for residential, hospitality, commercial, cinema, studio, education, healthcare, and mixed-use developments. It is suitable for projects where airborne sound reduction, occupant privacy, acoustic comfort, and space-efficient construction are important design requirements.

Flexible Furring Channel Installation
The IsoMax™ clip uses a flexible snap-on or slide-on design that installs quickly and allows height adjustment during furring channel installation. It accommodates furring channel widths from 2.38″ to 2.75″ and is designed to engulf the furring channel, helping avoid metal-to-metal rattling that can occur with some other isolation clip systems.

Ceiling Isolation Performance Data
Within Kinetics’ ceiling isolation product data, IsoMax™ is listed as a neoprene element ceiling isolation product for wood/concrete applications, with a capacity range of 36–60 lbs, UL L583 fire rating, seismic zone capability A–B, tested STC range of 54–66, tested IIC range of 44–58, and furring clip grid installation method.

Wall Assembly Test Reference
Kinetics sound test report listings include a partition assembly using 5/8″ gypsum board, 2×4 wood studs, fiberglass insulation, KINETICS IsoMax™ clips, 7/8″ drywall furring channel, and 5/8″ gypsum board, with a reported STC rating of 57. Actual project performance depends on the complete wall or ceiling assembly, perimeter detailing, penetrations, and installation quality.

Note: Some color variation on the rubber component of the IsoMax clip is normal. This is based on the amount of surface wax (white in color) present on the black rubber. Product performance is not affected.
