Product Description

KINETICS® KB803 Sound Baffles are noise control ceiling baffles used to reduce overall noise and reverberation levels in high-ceiling spaces. Suspended vertically from the ceiling or building structure, these acoustic baffles help control reflected sound in areas where hard surfaces and large room volumes create excessive reverberation. They are suitable for industrial, recreational, educational, and public-use spaces requiring a practical and economical reverberation control solution.

Acoustic Ceiling Baffle Construction
KB803 baffles are constructed with a 3 PCF fiberglass core encased in a fire-retardant vinyl film cover. The vinyl covering is heat sealed at the edges to create an airtight seam, providing a clean, durable, and low-maintenance acoustic surface. For ease of suspension, each baffle is supplied with brass grommets along the edge.

Sizes, Finishes, and Installation
KINETICS® KB803 Sound Baffles are available in a wide variety of colours and sizes. Standard sizes range from 24″ x 48″ up to 48″ x 96″. The standard composition includes a 1-1/2″ thick 3 PCF fiberglass core completely wrapped and heat sealed with a 3 mil vinyl film cover, with brass grommets located on the top edge. Larger baffles up to 48″ x 96″ are available with a 2″ thick fiberglass core. Mounting should be completed in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Performance and Compliance Data
KB803 Sound Baffles provide sound absorption for reverberation control in typical suspended layouts. Published sound absorption data per ASTM C-423 includes absorption coefficients of 0.25 at 125 Hz, 0.74 at 250 Hz, 1.5 at 500 Hz, 1.8 at 1K Hz, 1.5 at 2K Hz, 0.98 at 4K Hz, and NRC 1.4. Published Sabins data for 24″ x 48″ baffles includes 2.00 at 125 Hz, 5.90 at 250 Hz, 11.9 at 500 Hz, 14.4 at 1K Hz, 12.2 at 2K Hz, and 7.80 at 4K Hz. Fire test data includes Class 1 per UL-723, flame spread of 15 or less, and smoke developed rating of 105 or less.

Project Use in High-Ceiling Spaces
For schools, gyms, cafeterias, indoor play areas, animal kennels, industrial halls, and multi-purpose rooms in the Middle East, KB803 Sound Baffles provide a cost-effective way to reduce reverberant noise without requiring full wall coverage. They can be suspended from the ceiling or structure near the noise source, helping consultants, contractors, and facility owners improve acoustic comfort and speech clarity in noisy, high-volume rooms. KB803 baffles are also available with FDA-accepted coverings, and accepted coverings can be used where USDA and FDA requirements apply. Optional sealed suspension grommets are available for clean room applications.
