RQ – Seismic Neoprene Mounts

RQ Seismic Neoprene Mounts are one-piece molded neoprene vibration isolators with encapsulated metal inserts for high-frequency vibration isolation and seismic or wind-load restraint applications. Designed for small pumps, vent sets, packaged air-handling units, wall-mounted transformers, and similar equipment, RQ mounts provide practical HVAC and MEP vibration control for UAE, GCC, Middle East, and MENA projects.

Product Description

Kinetics Model RQ Seismic Neoprene Mounts are designed to isolate high-frequency vibration generated by mechanical equipment located on a grade-supported structural slab, pier, or load-bearing wall. They are typically used for mechanical equipment with lowest operating speeds of 1750 RPM, including close-coupled pumps with motors of 5 H.P. or less, small vent sets, low-pressure packaged air-handling units, wall-mounted electrical transformers, and similar equipment types.

RQ neoprene isolation mounts are suitable for equipment specified to be supported by neoprene rubber or elastomer isolators with tabulated minimum static deflections up to 0.13″ (3 mm). They are also selected for seismic and wind-load restraint applications, making them a practical option for projects where vibration isolation and equipment restraint must be coordinated within the same support detail.

Each Kinetics Model RQ Vibration Isolator is a one-piece molded neoprene mount with encapsulated metal inserts. These internal inserts provide resistance to horizontally and vertically applied loads, while the isolator includes two bolt-down holes on the bottom load surface and a steel top load plate for attachment to the supported equipment. The neoprene compound is highly oil resistant and is designed to operate within the strain limits of the isolator, supporting reliable isolation performance and service life for HVAC, MEP, electrical, and building services equipment installations.

RQ Seismic Neoprene Mounts are available in three sizes and thirteen capacities from 210 lbs. to 1950 lbs. (95 kg to 885 kg). They are commonly selected where first cost must be minimized while maintaining effective high-frequency vibration isolation, lateral load resistance, and anchorable equipment support for commercial buildings, mechanical rooms, plant areas, industrial facilities, infrastructure projects, and construction developments across the UAE and wider GCC region.

Neoprene vibration isolators shall be Model RQ, by Kinetics Noise Control, Inc.
