Product Description

Product Overview
KINETICS® S4 Sound Absorption Panel is a highly efficient, tuned acoustic absorber designed to reduce reverberated sound, particularly in low- and mid-frequency ranges. It is suitable for wall and ceiling installations where durable, cleanable, and moisture-resistant sound absorption is required in industrial, MEP, HVAC, and building services applications.

Construction and Acoustic Design
The S4 panel is constructed from a 3 PCF / 48 kg/m³ glass fiber core completely protected by an 8 mil / 203.2 micron neoprene-coated, fiberglass-reinforced, aluminized polyester white or foil film facing. The fully encapsulated design helps protect the absorber in demanding environments while maintaining sound absorption performance.

Sizes, Thicknesses, and Performance
KINETICS® S4 Sound Absorption Panels are available in 1″ / 25 mm and 2″ / 50 mm thicknesses, in sizes up to 48″ x 120″ / 1219 mm x 3048 mm, or as die-cut shapes to meet application requirements. Published sound absorption performance includes NRC 0.75 for the 1″ thick panel and NRC 0.94 for the 2″ thick panel when tested in direct application mounting.

Cleanable and Moisture-Resistant Acoustic Treatment
S4 panels are economical, easily cleanable sound absorbers suitable for projects where moisture-resistant acoustic treatment is required. The panels can be steam cleaned, the facing is oil resistant, and the aluminized silver facing can be used in temperatures from -65°F to 265°F.

For UAE and GCC projects, KINETICS® S4 Sound Absorption Panels are ideal for mechanical rooms, generator rooms, air compressor cabinets, machinery enclosures, engine shrouds, data centers, distribution centers, workshops, arenas, natatoriums, dog kennels, and shooting ranges. Installation can be completed using S4 brackets, impaling pins, cementing, edge clips, or batten strips, depending on project conditions and manufacturer guidance.
