Kinetics Model SL housed spring isolators are engineered to reduce high- and low-frequency vibration generated by floor-mounted mechanical, industrial, and process equipment. Each isolator combines a high-deflection, color-coded steel spring with a telescoping cast housing, neoprene snubbers, a bonded 6 mm noise-isolation pad, and adjustable leveling hardware.
Model SL is typically selected for lightweight mechanical equipment with minimum operating speeds of approximately 1,200 RPM, particularly on grade-supported slabs or short structural floor spans where controlled movement and additional damping are required. Available with rated capacities from 16 to 1,588 kg and deflections up to 47 mm, the range supports consultant-specified HVAC, MEP, and industrial vibration-control projects across the UAE, GCC, and MENA region

Engineered Housed Spring Vibration Isolation
KINETICS® SL Housed Spring Isolators are spring vibration isolation mounts designed for mechanical, industrial, and process machinery. Each Model SL isolator uses high-deflection, color-coded stabile springs assembled inside telescoping cast iron or aluminum housings.
Robust Housing and Noise Isolation Pad
The lower load surface includes a 1/4 in. (6 mm) thick ribbed noise isolation pad bonded to the housing. This pad helps reduce structure-borne noise transfer between the equipment and supporting structure. In addition, slots or holes allow the isolators to bolt securely to the structure.
Leveling, Snubbing, and Controlled Movement
Model SL spring isolators include an adjusting and leveling bolt as part of the top assembly. They also feature a pre-adjusted snubbing arrangement that helps reduce movement during equipment start-up and shut-down. As a result, the SL mount suits applications where the project needs more damping and less motion than free-standing spring isolators.
Performance Range and Protective Finish
KINETICS® SL spring isolators are available with deflections up to 1.84 in. (47 mm) and load capacities from 35 to 3500 lbs. (16 to 1588 kg). The springs are polyester powder coated and carry a 1000-hour salt spray rating per ASTM B-117.
Project Application and Model Options
Model SL housed spring isolator mounts isolate high and low frequency vibration generated by floor-mounted mechanical equipment in non-critical areas. They typically support lightweight mechanical equipment with lowest operating speeds of 1200 RPM on grade-supported slabs or short structural floor spans. The standard SL arrangement suits installations where the leveling bolt can extend above the mount and act as both a leveling and attachment bolt.
Model SLI isolators serve similar applications where the supported equipment connects through a flat friction plate. Internal level adjustment allows access to the adjustment bolts. Model SLP isolators suit similar installations where equipment connections require a centering pin and internal level adjustment.
Specification-Oriented Design
The isolator assembly consists of a steel spring and load cap housed in a cast semi-steel or aluminum assembly. Sponge neoprene snubbers stabilize the isolator and prevent metal-to-metal contact between the top and bottom housing sections. The top housing section includes a drilled and tapped connection, steel load transfer plate, leveling bolt, and locknut. The bottom housing section includes the bonded ribbed neoprene noise isolation pad and slotted base for structural anchoring.
The spring elements provide lateral stiffness greater than 1.0 times the rated vertical stiffness and include a minimum 50% overload capacity. Springs are selected to match the operating static deflections shown in the vibration isolation schedule or project documents. Each spring is color-coded or otherwise identified to show load capacity.
