Low-Frequency Acoustic Control Panel
VTLF, or VersaTune Low Frequency, is an engineered low-frequency acoustic absorber designed for spaces where bass build-up, excessive low-frequency reflections, and unbalanced room sound are a concern. It provides bass trap-style performance at 80 Hz, removing 85% of reflections while limiting absorption in higher frequencies. This helps treat difficult low-frequency energy without over-absorbing the bright tones that support clarity and natural sound quality.
Slim Bass Trap Performance
Unlike many traditional low-frequency treatments, VTLF achieves low-frequency control in a slim 2-1/8 inch thick panel. It is designed to absorb strongly at the key woofer-to-subwoofer crossover frequency around 80 Hz and continues absorbing through the woofer frequency range up to 315 Hz before reducing absorption, helping preserve mid and high frequency detail.
Engineered for Balanced Room Acoustics
VTLF combines multiple acoustic technologies within a unique acoustical core to deliver targeted bass absorption without relying on heavy materials. This makes it a practical acoustic treatment for home theaters, studios, listening rooms, media rooms, auditoriums, education spaces, hospitality interiors, and specialist AV environments where controlled low-frequency response is important.
Consultant-Friendly Acoustic Design
Low-frequency sound has long wavelengths and often builds up around corners and room boundaries. Kinetics notes that low-frequency treatment is generally recommended in corners, while final bass treatment layout depends on room shape and speaker placement. For professional projects, VTLF supports acoustic consultants, AV designers, contractors, and project teams in developing more balanced room sound with compact, wall-mounted acoustic treatment.
