KINETICS® Woolf Ceiling Tiles are acoustic lay-in ceiling tiles manufactured from Woolf cementitious wood wool, a building material made from bound wood fibers, cement, and water. Designed for ceiling grid applications, Woolf Ceiling Tiles combine sound absorption, natural wood-fiber aesthetics, and long-term material durability in one ceiling treatment solution.
Sustainable Acoustic Ceiling Tile Solution
Woolf is a sustainable and eco-friendly sound absorptive material that is fire-resistant, moisture-resistant, and clean-air rated. As a ceiling tile, it supports acoustic comfort while adding a distinctive natural texture to interiors where standard ceiling tiles may not provide the desired architectural appearance.
Lay-In Ceiling Grid Design
Woolf Ceiling Tiles are designed for tile and lay-in ceiling grid applications, giving consultants, architects, and contractors a practical acoustic ceiling option for commercial and institutional interiors. Kinetics offers Woolf ceiling tiles in Square and Tegular styles, allowing the ceiling finish to be coordinated with the project’s grid design and interior concept.
Available Tile Sizes and Thicknesses
Square Woolf Ceiling Tiles are available in 23-3/4″ width, with 23-3/4″ or 47-3/4″ lengths, and thicknesses of 5/8″, 1″, and 1-1/2″. Tegular Woolf Ceiling Tiles are available in 23-3/4″ width, with 23-3/4″ or 47-3/4″ lengths, and thicknesses of 1″ and 1-1/2″.
Acoustical Performance
Published acoustical performance for Woolf Ceiling Tiles includes NRC 0.60 for 5/8″ thickness, NRC 0.70 for 1″ thickness, and NRC 0.75 for 1-1/2″ thickness using E-400 Mount. This makes Woolf Ceiling Tiles suitable for spaces where reverberation control, speech clarity, and acoustic comfort are important design considerations.
Finish and Design Coordination
Woolf panels are available in a variety of colors, finishes, and shapes to support architectural coordination. Standard finishes include Raw / Paint in Field, Chalk / Painted White Finish, and Wheat / Painted Natural Finish. Custom factory colors may also be selected for project-specific interior design requirements.
