Product Description

Low-Profile Acoustic Floor Underlayment
ISOLayment QT is a recycled rubber noise control floor underlayment engineered for projects that require a low-cost, easy-to-install solution for impact sound isolation. It is designed to help multi-family high-rise, dormitory, hospitality, and mixed-use developments address floor impact noise while maintaining a low-profile floor assembly. Kinetics identifies ISOLayment QT as the lowest profile assembly among its flooring solutions.

Patented QT Impact Sound Isolation Technology
ISOLayment QT features patented QT Impact Sound Isolation Technology and is manufactured in the USA. Kinetics notes that the product has been extensively tested, meets established indoor air quality standards, outperforms similar low-cost underlayments such as cork or foam plastic, and can help contribute LEED points for qualifying projects.

Flat and Bumpy Roll Options
ISOLayment QT is available in two styles: Flat (F) and Bumpy (B). All rolls are 48 inches wide. Flat roll products are available in standard thicknesses of 2 mm, 5 mm, 10 mm, and 15 mm, while Bumpy roll products are available in standard thicknesses of 6 mm, 10 mm, 17 mm, and 25 mm. Kinetics also notes that non-standard thicknesses are available upon request.

Subfloor and Finished Flooring Compatibility
ISOLayment QT can be installed over plywood sheathing, concrete floors, heavy timber planks, and gypsum concrete. Finished flooring options include concrete, ceramic tile, vinyl sheet, LVT, stone, wood, and gypsum concrete, which can be applied directly over ISOLayment QT in suitable assemblies.

Project Value for Building Acoustics
For consultants, contractors, developers, and acoustic specialists in the UAE, GCC, and MENA region, ISOLayment QT provides a compact acoustic underlayment option for floor impact noise control. It can also be combined with Kinetics WAVE Hanger, IsoMax, and ICW ceiling hangers to maximize performance in wood-framed construction where additional acoustic isolation is required.
