KINJOINT SSEJ-500N and SSEJ-500H are stainless steel bellows expansion joints engineered to accommodate thermal movement in HVAC, mechanical and industrial piping systems. SSEJ-500N is rated at 16 bar, while SSEJ-500H is available in 25 bar and 40 bar configurations. The range covers DN40 to DN600 with SST304 stainless steel bellows, a working-temperature range of −50°C to +450°C and published axial and lateral movement of ±10 mm. Flanged-end configurations include ANSI/ASA and BS 4504 pressure classes.
Engineered for Performance.
KINJOINT SSEJ-500N and SSEJ-500H are engineered stainless steel expansion joints designed to accommodate dimensional changes in piping systems caused by thermal expansion and contraction.
The flexible bellows are formed from thin-wall SST304 stainless steel and provide controlled piping flexibility within a compact assembly. Bellows expansion joints can reduce the space required to accommodate thermal movement compared with conventional rigid pipe loops when correctly selected, anchored and guided.
The SSEJ-500 series is designed for larger pipe sizes and demanding mechanical and industrial piping applications, with working-pressure options from 16 bar to 40 bar and standard nominal bore sizes from DN40 to DN600.
Kinetics Middle East supports consultants, MEP contractors, mechanical contractors, piping engineers and project teams requiring stainless steel expansion joints for projects in the UAE, GCC and wider MENA region.
Working Pressure: 16 bar
Working Pressure: 25 bar or 40 bar
SSEJ-500N / SSEJ-500H: without tie rods.
SSEJ-500N-SG / SSEJ-500H-SG: available with optional tie rods.
The exact model must be selected according to working pressure, temperature, pipe diameter, required movement, flange specification and the piping-system restraint arrangement.
The model, pressure and tie-rod distinctions above are shown directly on the Kinetics datasheet.
For tied SG configurations, the permissible movement must be checked against the actual piping restraint design. EJMA states that tie rods restrain pressure thrust and prevent axial movement, so the generic family movement value should not automatically be treated as unrestricted axial travel for an SG configuration.
KINJOINT SSEJ-500N / SSEJ-500H stainless steel expansion joints are available with published flanged-end configurations including:
The flange configuration must match the approved project piping specification and selected pressure class.
The standard published SSEJ-500 range includes:
DN40, DN50, DN65, DN80, DN100, DN125, DN150, DN200, DN250, DN300, DN350, DN400, DN450, DN500 and DN600.
For 16 bar and 25 bar versions:
For 40 bar versions:
The number of bellows corrugations varies according to nominal bore and pressure rating.

KINJOINT SSEJ-500N and SSEJ-500H stainless steel expansion joints are intended for engineered piping systems requiring controlled accommodation of dimensional changes caused by thermal movement.
Typical applications include:
Final product selection must be based on actual nominal pipe size, operating and design pressure, operating temperature, calculated movement, fluid or process medium, flow conditions, flange specification and piping restraint arrangement.
Expansion joints are widely used in HVAC and industrial piping applications to introduce engineered flexibility where thermal dimensional changes would otherwise create system stresses.
SSEJ-500N provides a 16 bar configuration, while SSEJ-500H is available for 25 bar and 40 bar working-pressure requirements.
The standard range extends from DN40 through DN600, allowing the SSEJ-500 family to cover both building-services and larger industrial piping requirements.
The flexible element is manufactured from SST304 stainless steel.
Multiple bellows plies are used according to nominal size and working-pressure configuration, including three-ply construction across the published 40 bar range.
The published working-temperature range is −50°C to +450°C.
The SSEJ-500 product datasheet publishes ±10 mm axial and lateral movement for the product family. The allowable movement of a tied SG configuration must be confirmed according to its restraint arrangement.
SSEJ-500N-SG and SSEJ-500H-SG versions are available with optional tie rods for appropriately engineered restraint arrangements.
An internal liner can be provided to help protect the inner bellows surface from erosion and flow-induced vibration where operating conditions require it.
A protective external shroud can be provided to help protect the outside surface of the bellows from physical damage.
Published configurations include ANSI / ASA 150 and 300 and BS 4504 PN16, PN25 and PN40.
Tie rods are an important expansion-joint restraint component.
The standard SSEJ-500N and SSEJ-500H models are identified in the Kinetics datasheet as being without tie rods, while SSEJ-500N-SG and SSEJ-500H-SG are shown with optional tie rods.
According to the Expansion Joint Manufacturers Association, tie rods restrain pressure thrust and prevent axial movement. The required movement and restraint arrangement must therefore be reviewed when selecting an SG tied configuration.
For independent expansion-joint engineering terminology, visit the Expansion Joint Manufacturers Association (EJMA).
Internal liners can protect bellows from flow-related erosion and vibration where fluid velocity or turbulence creates demanding flow conditions.
Flow velocity, fluid characteristics and the location of upstream elbows, valves or other turbulence-generating components should be considered when determining whether an internal liner is required. EJMA provides specific guidance on when flow liners should be considered.
Correct piping anchors, guides and supports are critical to metallic expansion-joint performance.
The KINJOINT datasheet specifically instructs users to consult Kinetics regarding proper anchoring and guiding to prevent the joint from extending or buckling due to pressure thrust.
The restraint arrangement must therefore be coordinated with the expansion-joint model, pressure, movement direction and piping layout before commissioning.
Before installation:
EJMA specifically warns that torsion can reduce bellows life or cause failure, while the Kinetics datasheet requires appropriate anchoring and guiding.

Yes. The SSEJ-500N / SSEJ-500H datasheet specifies flanged ends with ANSI / ASA and BS 4504 pressure-class configurations.
Published configurations include ANSI / ASA 150, ANSI / ASA 300, BS 4504 PN16, PN25 and PN40.
Yes. SSEJ-500N-SG and SSEJ-500H-SG are the versions identified in the Kinetics datasheet as having optional tie rods.
Tie rods restrain pressure thrust. EJMA notes that true tie rods prevent axial movement, so the tied configuration must be selected according to the required piping movement.
Anchors and guides control the forces and movement acting on the expansion joint. Kinetics specifically warns that proper anchoring and guiding are required to prevent unwanted extension or buckling from pressure thrust.

Confirm the correct SSEJ-500N, SSEJ-500H, SSEJ-500N-SG or SSEJ-500H-SG model before installation. Verify the pressure rating, nominal pipe size, flange standard, working temperature and required movement. Install the piping anchors, guides and supports according to the approved engineering design. Protect the SST304 bellows from impact, weld spatter and arc strikes, and avoid torsional twisting. Do not use the expansion joint to correct unintended pipe misalignment. Where tie rods are fitted, confirm the permitted movement and restraint arrangement before commissioning. Do not exceed the approved pressure, temperature or movement limits. Refer project-specific anchoring and guiding requirements to Kinetics Middle East.
