What transforms a luxury high-rise from an architectural landmark into a truly comfortable destination? It is the engineering behind the scenes—controlling vibration, protecting mechanical services, accommodating system movement, and preventing unwanted noise from reaching occupied spaces.
That engineering focus drives Volume 17 of The Isolator. This edition takes us to the Le Méridien Mina Seyahi extension in Dubai Marina, a major addition to the existing five-star hotel, where Kinetics Middle East was engaged to provide vibration isolators, seismic restraints, flexible connectors, expansion joints, acoustic lagging, and wider acoustic-package support.
Our Product Highlight introduces KINLAG foam-type acoustic lagging, which combines hydrolysis-resistant open-cell foam with a mass-loaded noise barrier to reduce sound radiating from pipework. Developed as a practical alternative to conventional fiber-based lagging, it supports safer installation and dependable acoustic performance.
We also revisit KME’s technical seminar with the ASHRAE Falcon Chapter, exploring how evolving seismic codes affect non-structural building components and how engineers can avoid common pitfalls when interpreting simulation and analysis software.
In our Employee Spotlight, we recognise Senior Logistics and Shipping Specialist Mr. Kalam Moopan for the communication, consistency, and dedication he brings to every order, department, and customer.
Explore Volume 17 to discover how project expertise, smarter acoustic materials, technical knowledge-sharing, and committed people come together to create quieter, safer, and better-performing buildings.
