Product Description

KINETICS® KBC Sound Absorber/Noise Barrier Composite is a thin, rugged, flexible acoustical composite designed for projects where both reverberation control and sound transmission loss are required. It combines quilted aluminum cloth-faced fiberglass absorber layers with a limp mass loaded vinyl barrier to help absorb airborne noise while improving sound blocking performance.

Engineered Acoustic Composite Design
KBC composites are available with 0.50, 1.0, or 2.0 psf mass loaded vinyl barriers, equivalent to 2.5, 4.9, or 9.8 kg/m². The barrier can be supplied with a quilted aluminum cloth-faced fiberglass absorber on one or both sides, depending on the acoustic requirement. For single-source noise conditions, KBC-50RBQ and KBC-100RBQ are used where sound is absorbed by the quilted fiberglass, blocked by the vinyl barrier, and further controlled as reflected sound waves are dissipated by the absorber.

Single-Side and Double-Side Absorption Options
KBC-50BQQ, KBC-100BQQ, and KBC-200BQQ work in the same way as the RBQ models, but they are designed to absorb sound on both sides of the composite. One side also acts as a decoupling layer, allowing the limp mass vinyl barrier to vibrate freely when installed against rigid structures, helping improve transmission loss performance.

Flexible Installation for Industrial and Architectural Projects
KINETICS® KBC Absorber/Barrier Composite can be installed free hanging or attached directly to a noise-radiating surface. It is suitable for use inside enclosures, machinery cover linings, existing walls or barriers, crosstalk barriers, room dividers, ceiling barriers, and pipe or duct wrap. This makes it a practical acoustic solution for industrial facilities, mechanical rooms, plant areas, HVAC services, equipment enclosures, and architectural noise control applications across the Middle East.

Available Product Types
KBC models include KBC-50RBQ, KBC-100RBQ, KBC-50BQQ, KBC-100BQQ, and KBC-200BQQ. The RBQ models include a quilted faced fiberglass absorber on one side, while the BQQ models include quilted faced fiberglass absorbers on both sides. Standard absorber and barrier colours are silver, with other vinyl and fiberglass facing colours available by consultation.
