Kinetics Model SL-1 Housed Spring Isolators are designed to isolate vibration generated by floor-mounted mechanical equipment, industrial machinery, and process equipment installed in non-critical areas. The isolator combines a high-deflection, color-coded steel spring within a telescoping cast iron or aluminum housing, providing vibration control with improved stability compared to free-standing spring isolators.
Each SL-1 isolator includes a 1/4″ / 6 mm thick ribbed noise isolation pad bonded to the lower load surface, helping reduce vibration and noise transfer into the supporting structure. The top assembly includes an adjusting and leveling bolt, while slots or holes are provided in the housing to allow bolting to the structure. The unit also incorporates a pre-adjusted snubbing feature to help reduce movement during equipment start-up and shut-down.
Model SL spring isolators are suitable where more damping is required and less motion can be tolerated than with open spring isolators. They are commonly used for lightweight mechanical equipment with operating speeds from 1200 RPM, particularly on grade-supported slabs or short structural floor spans where the leveling bolt can extend above the mount and function as both a leveling and attachment bolt.
For MEP consultants, HVAC contractors, acoustic consultants, and project developers in the UAE, GCC, Middle East, and MENA region, SL-1 Housed Spring Isolators provide a practical vibration isolation solution for mechanical rooms, plantrooms, industrial facilities, and building services installations. Model SL isolators are available in deflections up to 1.84″ / 47 mm and load capacities from 35 to 3500 lbs / 16 to 1588 kg, as stated by Kinetics Group.
Vibration isolators shall be model SL, as manufactured by Kinetics Noise Control, Inc.
