Product Description

Elegant Wood Finishes with Acoustic Performance
KINETICS® Acoustical Wood Collection is designed for projects where visual quality and acoustic comfort are equally important. The collection uses finished wood surfaces with hidden acoustically absorptive material beneath, allowing sound energy to pass through the wood finish and be absorbed behind the surface. This helps reduce echo, reverberation, and background noise in rooms that would otherwise be highly reflective.

Absorbers and Diffusers for Room Acoustic Control
The Acoustical Wood Collection includes acoustic absorbers and diffusers in a variety of patterns and finishes. These solutions help control reverberation, improve speech intelligibility, enhance musical performance, and create more comfortable listening environments in commercial, residential, hospitality, education, and performance spaces.

Wood Patterns for Different Design and Acoustic Needs
The collection includes distinctive wood acoustic patterns such as Alto, Sereno, Picado, and TAD Revealed. Alto uses linear-grooved openings for a refined appearance; Sereno features symmetrical hole patterns; Picado uses micro-perforated holes that allow sound absorption while maintaining a solid wood appearance; and TAD Revealed uses acoustically randomized openings for tuned low and mid-frequency absorption.

Diffusion and Reflection Options
For spaces where sound dispersion and performance clarity are required, the Acoustical Wood Collection also includes solutions such as Ovation Reflectors, MidTones, Scatterbox, and HighTones. These products support acoustic design by helping disperse sound energy, control late reflections, and improve the acoustic character of larger rooms and performance environments.

Finish and Veneer Flexibility
Kinetics provides standard veneer options including maple, cherry, oak, walnut, birch, and mahogany, with specialty wood options available by request. Depending on the selected system, options may include wood species, laminates, matching, cuts, finishes, edge details, fire-rated or non-fire-rated cores, and FSC® Certification available upon request.

Installation and Panel Options
The collection can be supplied as field-installed acoustical wood components or as Ensemble pre-built, ready-to-hang panels. Ensemble panels are factory assembled with the selected Acoustical Wood Collection pattern, 1″ or 2″ 6# density fiberglass, perimeter framing, and an MDF back panel, then installed using factory-provided Z-clips. This supports faster installation for contractors where site timelines and manpower are limited.

Important Acoustic Design Note
Acoustical Wood Collection absorbers are intended to improve sound levels within the room where they are installed. They should not be used as a solution for reducing sound transmission into adjacent rooms; separate noise control systems are required for room-to-room or floor-to-floor sound isolation.
