KINETICS® Fabric Panels are fabric-wrapped acoustical absorbers designed to reduce reverberation, improve acoustic comfort, and support balanced room sound. Available in HardSide, TAD, and VersaTune options, these panels help consultants, contractors, AV specialists, and interior designers across the UAE, GCC, Middle East, and MENA region select the right absorption profile for each space.

Fabric-Wrapped Acoustic Panels for Reverberation Control
KINETICS® Fabric Panels are acoustical wall and ceiling treatment panels used to add comfort to interior spaces by reducing reverberation. While fabric panels may appear similar from the outside, Kinetics highlights that the inner core construction determines both how much sound is absorbed and which frequencies are controlled. This makes product selection important for room acoustics, home theaters, studios, restaurants, offices, schools, hospitality spaces, and commercial interiors.
HardSide for General Reverberation Problems
HardSide is a traditional acoustical panel and an economical solution for general reverberation problems. It is best suited for areas where loud reverberation is the main concern rather than high-fidelity sound balance, such as great rooms and restaurants. The panel uses a 6–7 PCF fiberglass board core, with a hardened perimeter for durability and crisp wrapped edges. Panel sizes are available up to a maximum of 5′ x 10′, with custom shaped panels and angled or contoured perimeter cuts available. Standard thicknesses range from 1″ to 4″, edge treatments include Square, Bevel, Radius, and Pencil, and NRC values range from 0.80 to 1.05.
TAD Panels for Low-to-Mid Frequency Absorption
TAD panels cover the absorptive core with a variable impedance laminate. Standard-sized openings in the laminate are sized and spaced to optimize absorption in low to mid frequencies while creating random higher-frequency reflective surfaces between the openings. For increased low-frequency absorption, thicker cores from 2″ to 4″ can be used. TAD is a strong option for rooms that already include high-frequency absorptive materials such as curtains, thick carpet, and deep-cushioned fabric furniture. Standard sizes are available in 2′ increments up to 4′ x 10′, with standard thicknesses of 1-1/8″, 2-1/8″, 3-1/8″, and 4-1/8″.
VersaTune for Balanced High-Fidelity Acoustic Treatment
VersaTune uses an engineered composite core to absorb lower-frequency acoustic energy more effectively than traditional panels without adding thickness or excessive cost. It is designed to improve listening quality by reducing excessive bass reverberation while leaving some high-frequency tones in the room. VersaTune is described as a balanced absorber and is suitable for high-fidelity projects that lack thick plush carpeting and furniture. Sizes are available up to 4′ x 10′, with standard thicknesses of 1-1/8″, 2-1/8″, 3-1/8″, and 4-1/8″, and edge treatments including Square, Bevel, Radius, and Pencil.
Design Flexibility for Acoustic Interiors
KINETICS® Fabric Panels can be coordinated with interior finishes, room design, and acoustic performance requirements. For projects requiring a more refined appearance, Kinetics also references its Acoustical Wood Collection. For branding, artwork, or decorative acoustic panels, AcoustiGraphix® can be added to fabric panels to turn them into custom visual features while maintaining acoustic treatment value.
Project-Specific Acoustic Selection
The absorption profile required in a space depends on room use, finishes, geometry, and acoustic goals. Kinetics notes that many projects require a blend of different absorptive products for optimum performance, so Fabric Panels should be selected with consideration of the specific project requirements.
