KINETICS® Model CIB-L Pump Inertia Base is a reinforced concrete-filled inertia base frame designed to support pumps and mechanical equipment requiring vibration isolation, anchorage, and motion control. Engineered for MEP, HVAC, and mechanical plant applications across the UAE, GCC, and MENA region.
KINETICS® CIB-L inertia base frames are specifically designed and engineered to receive poured concrete for use in supporting mechanical equipment that requires a reinforced concrete inertia base. When filled with concrete and supported by suitable KINETICS® vibration isolators, the Model CIB-L provides effective equipment isolation, structural support, anchorage, and vibration amplitude control for pumps, chillers, compressors, fans, and other rotating or reciprocating equipment.
The CIB-L Pump Inertia Base uses an integrated structural design that combines perimeter steel channels, isolator support brackets, reinforcing rods, anchor bolts, and concrete fill into a controlled load transfer system. This design uses steel in tension and concrete in compression to achieve high strength and stiffness while minimizing steel frame weight. Completed inertia bases using Model CIB-L frames are stronger and stiffer than standard inertia base frames using heavier steel members.
Standard KINETICS® CIB-L inertia base frames are available in 6 in. (152 mm), 8 in. (203 mm), 10 in. (254 mm), and 12 in. (305 mm) thicknesses. Each frame includes integral isolator support brackets, a steel channel perimeter pouring frame, 1/2 in. (13 mm) diameter reinforcing rods on 8 in. (203 mm) centers each way, and steel anchor bolts prelocated and fixed in the correct positions. The frames are delivered to the job site completely welded and ready to be filled with concrete, helping reduce site labor, installation time, and overall installation cost.
Inertia bases are used to support mechanical equipment, reduce equipment vibration, provide attachment points for vibration isolators, prevent differential movement between driving and driven components, reduce rocking by lowering the equipment center of gravity, control movement during start-up and shut-down, reduce reaction movement from operating loads, and act as a noise barrier. The Model CIB-L is suitable for mechanical rooms, chiller plants, pump rooms, HVAC systems, industrial facilities, commercial towers, hospitals, hotels, infrastructure projects, and other MEP applications requiring dependable vibration control and equipment stability.
Installation support is available for CIB inertia base installation with FHS isolators and FDS isolators. Available product support documents include Datasheet PDF, Installation Guide, Technical Manual, CAD Drawings, and Test Reports.
