Kinetics Model CRFS Computer Room Floor Stands are structural steel floor stands specifically designed and engineered to support computer room A/C units requiring seismic restraint and/or vibration isolation. The Model CRFS provides a rigid mounting platform for computer room air conditioning units, commonly known as CRAC units, while allowing the integration of isolators or restraints as required by the project design.
The Model CRFS incorporates structural steel sections with restraint or isolation mounting brackets, along with drilled and pre-located anchor bolt holes for attaching the equipment to the stand. This design helps maintain a rigid support surface for the air conditioning unit while providing a reliable means of connecting vibration isolators or seismic restraints to the equipment. It is suitable for critical environments where equipment support, vibration control, seismic restraint, airflow coordination, and long-term mechanical reliability are important.
Kinetics Model CRFS floor stands can be used with raised floor systems, making them particularly suitable for data centers, server rooms, computer rooms, telecommunications facilities, computer laboratories, and industrial process control rooms. Each leg of the stand provides independent adjustment of up to ±1.5 in., allowing the stand to be adjusted for out-of-level floors. When used with vibration isolation and/or seismic restraint, the base is designed for adjustability up to ±1.5 in.
The Model CRFS is designed to incorporate a variety of isolators and restraints, with standard options including non-isolated computer room floor stands, isolated computer room floor stands shown with Kinetics neoprene isolation pads, and isolated stands shown with Kinetics FHS seismic isolators. Vibration isolation options are available from 0.25 in. to 4 in. deflection. For airflow and acoustic coordination, an optional acoustical turning vane can also be built into the stand and designed to meet the CFM and acoustical requirements of the facility.
Model CRFS structural steel floor stands are shipped assembled with the structural steel sections welded in place, and with the optional turning vane welded in place where specified. The standard finish is gray shop primer paint, with optional finishes available. When the base is used for seismic restraint, it is seismically certified and engineered to meet the latest building code. Available product support documents include Datasheet PDF, Installation Guide, Technical Manual, CAD Drawings, and Test Reports.
