Product Description

Kinetics Model KSPS Seismic Rooftop Pipe Stands are engineered to provide seismic and wind restraint while supporting a run of gas or liquid service piping. The system is designed for applications where piping must be supported, restrained, aligned, and stabilized on a rooftop or inside a structure as part of a coordinated MEP, HVAC, or building services installation.

Kinetics KSPS pipe stands are fabricated from engineered steel tube welded to a steel base plate. The base plate can be welded, bolted, or anchored down to the building structure, providing flexibility for project-specific installation requirements. Each KSPS stand features an adjustable rigid frame that supports a single run of pipe and helps maintain the pipe at the proper height and alignment during installation and operation.

Model KSPS stands stabilize piping by hard-clamping the pipe to an adjustable steel mounting plate on the stand. This connection provides the support needed for the piping to act as a stand-alone support and restraint component when used in accordance with MSS SP-69 Table 3. KSPS stands can be used inside a building structure or on the rooftop, making them suitable for utility piping, mechanical services, HVAC piping, gas piping, liquid service piping, and rooftop plant installations.

The KSPS system is available in three configurations that support and restrain pipe sizes from 1-1/4 in. to 5 in. Kinetics KSPS pipe stands are fabricated from ductile steel components welded together to provide continuous support for a single run of piping and to meet seismic and wind restraint requirements as needed by the applicable building code. Finish options include powder coated grey, painted, or hot-dipped galvanized finishes depending on the project requirement.

For consultants, contractors, MEP engineers, and project developers, Model KSPS provides a practical all-in-one pipe support and restraint solution for rooftops, plant rooms, service corridors, industrial facilities, commercial towers, hospitals, hotels, data centers, and infrastructure projects. Available product support documents include Datasheet PDF, Installation Guide, Technical Manual, CAD Drawings, and Test Reports.
