Product Description

Kinetics Model MSB Motor Slide Bases are adjustable steel motor mounting bases designed to provide motor anchorage and position adjustment for fan-motor sets using belt and sheave connected drive apparatus. The Model MSB is used where motor alignment, belt tension control, and secure equipment mounting are required as part of a coordinated mechanical equipment base installation.

The Model MSB is an accessory available for use with Kinetics Model CIB-L, CIB-H, SFB, or KFB equipment bases. It is rigidly bolted to prelocated and fixed anchor bolts in the equipment base, providing a stable method for anchoring motors and adjusting belt tension in belt-sheave connected drive systems. This makes the MSB suitable for HVAC fan assemblies, mechanical rooms, air handling systems, and plant equipment where accurate motor positioning is essential for dependable operation.

Model MSB Motor Slide Bases are commonly used with fan-motor sets having NEMA or AMCA motor positions W, X, Y, or Z. The adjustable base allows optimum motor movement for setting and readjusting belt tension, helping reduce excessive belt wear and equipment bearing wear. For contractors, MEP engineers, and facility teams, this supports better equipment maintenance access, improved drive alignment, and more consistent mechanical performance.

Each Model MSB motor slide base incorporates a single steel frame with four sliding motor anchor bolt, nut, and washer assemblies. The base operates with one belt tension adjustment bolt on tabulated base sizes up to 286, and two adjustment bolts for base sizes 324 through 445. All motor slide bases include four anchor bolt holes for secure attachment to supporting equipment bases.

The single-frame construction of the Model MSB offers an important advantage over conventional two-piece motor slide rails. Motor slide bases are more rigid than rail systems and help ensure that the sliding motor anchor bolts are installed and remain parallel. This rigidity supports better alignment control, reduced adjustment issues, and reliable long-term service in consultant-specified HVAC, vibration isolation, and mechanical equipment installations across UAE, GCC, Middle East, and MENA projects.
