Product Description

High-Performance Acoustic Panels for Demanding Interiors
High Impact HardSide Acoustical Wall Panels are a more abuse-resistant version of the standard Kinetics HardSide panel. They are designed for interior spaces where excellent appearance, superior acoustical performance, and greater durability must work together. The impact-resistant face is also tackable, making the panel suitable for active environments where sound control, appearance, and practical usability are all important.

Two-Part Composite Construction
High Impact HardSide is built as a two-part composite panel. It uses a 6–7 PCF density fiberglass core with a 1/8-inch thick, high-density impact-resistant skin laminated to the face of the core. This higher-density facing improves abuse resistance, tackability, and sound absorption compared with standard acoustic wall panel construction.

Design Flexibility for Architectural Acoustic Projects
The panel can be wrapped with fabric from the FR701 collection by Guilford of Maine or with factory-approved customer-selected fabric. Vinyl finishes are also available, making High Impact HardSide suitable for spaces where cleanability, durability, and interior design coordination are required. Panels can be selected in sizes up to 4 ft. x 10 ft., with custom-designed angled or contoured perimeter cuts available for architectural layouts.

Technical Options and Acoustic Performance
High Impact HardSide panels are available in standard thicknesses from 1-1/8 inches to 4-1/8 inches, with Square, Bevel, Radius, and Pencil edge treatments. Kinetics lists NRC values from 1.00 to 1.05, with sound absorption tested per ASTM C-423 using Type A mounting. A DECLARE Red List Free fabric-wrapped fiberglass acoustical panel option is also available.

Installation and Finishing Support
Installation options include permanent methods such as HS clips with construction adhesive, Rotofast snap-on anchors, and construction adhesive only. Removable installation options include loose Z-clips, factory-installed Z-clips, and Velcro. Field modification support includes field cut and rewrap, inside corner field cut and rewrap, electrical outlet extension cut-outs, and round hole cut-outs. High Impact HardSide can also be supplied with the AcoustiGraphix custom graphic option for logos, artwork, trademarks, or printed visuals while controlling noise and reverberation.
