Kinetics Model RHEP-AD is a compact neoprene vibration isolation element with an integrated mild-steel load plate. It is designed for installation beneath an equipment bracket in a suspension-rod support assembly, providing resilient separation between the supported service and its rigid structural connection.

RHEP-AD elements are available in four colour-coded load selections from 30 to 125 lb. Each model has a nominal rated deflection of 0.30 in. / 7.62 mm. What Is the RHEP-AD Neoprene Isolation Element?

The RHEP-AD is an individual elastomeric vibration-isolation component consisting of a Grade B neoprene element and an integrated mild-steel load plate.

The supplied technical drawing shows the element positioned beneath an equipment bracket, with the suspension rod passing through the central opening. The load plate distributes the applied bracket load across the top of the neoprene element while the elastomer provides controlled resilient movement.

RHEP-AD is an isolation element and load plate, not a complete enclosed vibration hanger. Suspension rods, nuts, washers, brackets and associated structural components must follow the approved support-system design and project submittal.

How RHEP-AD Provides Vibration Isolation

Suspended mechanical and building-services systems can transmit vibration through steel brackets, threaded rods and rigid support connections. Placing a correctly selected resilient element between the equipment bracket and support hardware helps interrupt this direct vibration-transmission path.

Installation Guidelines

  1. Confirm the approved RHEP-AD model at every suspension point.
  2. Verify that the actual operating load does not exceed the rated load of the selected element.
  3. Confirm that the suspension rod is within the published maximum diameter.
  4. Position the RHEP-AD element beneath the equipment bracket as shown on the approved drawing.
  5. Ensure the equipment bracket bears evenly on the mild-steel load plate.
  6. Keep the suspension rod centred through the isolator opening.
  7. Avoid unintended rigid contact that bypasses the neoprene element.
  8. Use nuts, washers and structural hardware specified in the approved support detail.
  9. Inspect the element position and supported-service alignment after the complete operating load has been applied.
